Why you need to issue the permit
Before you can do any trekking within the park’s area , you will be required to register
Park Entry Permit ( RM 1.00 per person ) and as well as Photographic License ( RM 5.00 per camera )
These licenses are valid for 30 days. You can issue the license at Taman Negara Wildlife Department or
Kuala Tembeling Jetty Wildlife Department .
The money collected for the park permit and camera license will be used as conservation fees of Taman Negara.Before leaving Taman Negara , you should return the park permit to the Wildlife Department , Hotel , Tour Operator . In this case , we will know that you leave Taman Negara save and sound .
Fishing in the park
The Wildlife Department does not allow any fishing activities being carried out within the park’s area any longer . But however , you can still do fishing at the Tembeling River ( A river at the border of Taman Negara ) and you do not need any permit for that .

If you’re planning you trek deep into the jungle ( keniam’s Trail , Tenol’s Trail or Tahan Moutain’s Trail , please don’t mind hiring a licensed nature tour guide . They have plenty of experience in the jungle to share with you and also to keep you out of troubles .
Tips Before Go To Taman Negara
There are no ATM Machines or Money Changer in Taman Negara nor Kuala Tahan . You are
kindly advised to bring enough cash before you leave to Taman Negara . Some resorts accept
credit card with 3-5% service charge e.g: Travellers Home , Rainforest Resort , Mutiara taman
Negara Resort , Xcape Resort
You can get yourself connected to the internet at Rainforest Resort and Xcape Resort . There
is a minimart located beside Teresek View Motel which provides internet service @ RM 6.00 per
hour . Agoh Chalet does have the same service and shops along the bus stop as well
Mat Leong Floating Restaurant is also a gear rental center such as tent , hiking boots , cooking
utensil etc . But visitors are advised to bring their own rain coat , insects repellent , torch light
and trekking shoes .
